Top international trade fair event shifts to "The global meeting place for agriculture on the internet"
The world of animal agriculture is set to come together at EuroTier 2021 -- however this time in a brand new digital format.
The leading international fair for animal production is typically held every two years in Hannover, Germany, with more than 2,500 exhibitors from 62 countries sharing knowledge and innovation.
With an eye to the uncertainty and challenges posed by the corona pandemic, for the 2021 edition the organizers have decided to switch to a digital only option. EuroTier billed as the world's leading trade fair for animal husbandry professionals, will be held from 9 to 12 February 2021.
Keeping up momentum under new format
There will be no physical presence fair in Hannover. The decision was made by the DLG (German Agricultural Society) as the organiser of the two leading trade fairs after detailed discussions with industry representatives, the advisory board and partners.
Based on this feedback and additional considerations, the organizes plan to offer exhibitors high coverage and maximum flexibility with digital business packages and visitors an extensive specialist program and attractive networking opportunities.
"The worldwide increase in the number of infections and the associated restrictive travel guidelines for exhibitors and visitors require flexible business solutions and information offerings such as those offered by EuroTier under this new format," explains Dr. Reinhard Grandke, Managing Director of the DLG.
Showcasing the future
The atmosphere at EuroTier typically reflects a vision for the future of food and farming that highlights the commercial opportunities in relation to growing global food demand. But equally showcased is the drive for innovation to enhance the sustainability of agricultural production in order to achieve a vital and prosperous future for the industry
The buzz around the event is focused on a number of complex questions. How can agriculture meet growing world demand while doing more for the environment? How can the industry tackle animal diseases while maintaining a strong commitment to quality and sustainability? How can the sector best incorporate new technologies and innovations into the livestock production process?
With digital company profiles, live events as well as chat and meeting functions, EuroTier 2021 plans to offer a wide range of communication and interaction possibilities for exhibitors and visitors. The digital specialist programme with DLG spotlights on the trade fair's key areas of beef, pork, poultry, energy, emission control and direct marketing, as well as live discussions.
