The Expo will feature a wide array of vendors from the pork industry, as well as education sessions, seminars, and opportunities for networking
DES MOINES, Iowa — The 2023 World Pork Expo is set toreturn to the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa, from June 7-9. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the annual event focusing on education, innovation and networking within the pork industry.
“This is a big anniversary for the World Pork Expo,” says National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) Board President Terry Wolters. “We’re looking forward to celebrating the event’s history while continuing to look ahead at the progress the industry continues to make. With this year’s exceptional lineup of programming and educational seminars, this really is a must-attend event for the industry.”
World’s Largest Pork-Specific Tradeshow
The World Pork Expo is the defining annual event for the pork industry and highlights the $57 billion and 610,000 jobs the industry contributes to the U.S. economy.
“There are more than 66,000 pork producers nationwide,” Wolters said. “The World Pork Expo showcases how committed NPPC is to everyone in the pork industry. At the same time, it’s a great way for industry professionals to connect and network with one another.”
The event has seen significant growth over the last three and a half decades to become the world’s largest pork-specific trade show. Last year, more than 10,000 pork producers and ag professionals representing over 400 companies worldwide participated. This year’s event is expected to draw even more industry insiders to the more than 300,000 square feet of exhibit space.
Featured Seminars
Attendees will have free access to a wide range of educational seminars covering all aspects of the pork industry.
“With so much happening in the pork industry right now, it’s more important than ever for producers to have access to the latest information and insights,” says NPPC board president Scott Hays. “This year’s World Pork Expo is packed with educational seminars that will help attendees take their operations to the next level.”
This year’s Business Seminars lineup includes topics covering sustainability, animal health, technology, and other important issues in the pork industry. All Business Seminars occur in the Varied Industries Building and will include multi-part panel discussions and Q&A opportunities with presenters and other experts.
